My Weight Loss

In the past year, I have lost 40 pounds, gone from a size 9 pant to a size 1, and went from a bra band size of 38 to a 32. I am now healthier, happier, and have gained much needed self-confidence

What are the secrets to this drastic weight loss? Creating and maintaining a healthier lifestyle. That's it. No magic pills, no special diet programs, just eating right and exercise.

You can make your "healthy lifestyle choice" suitable to your own needs. The key is moderation. It's okay to treat yourself to something special every once in awhile. It's hard to go completely cold turkey. For me, it has been a year since I last had any chocolate, cookies, cake, brownies, etc., and I no longer crave sweets, but that's not for everyone. I am just one of those people that have no self control. Once I start, I can't stop, so it's easier for me just to avoid sweets all together.

I have put together a list of what I eat, what I don't eat, some of my favorite food items, and some menu items to help you get started.

I am not a doctor or a nutritionist, but I did do research before changing how I ate. Just make sure you are getting the right amount of vitamins and minerals, and eat what's right for your health. Don't do anything that will hurt you.

Remember, this is not a diet, it's a way to create a healthy lifestyle.

Congrats on your journey. I enjoyed the info on your blog this morning... you know it's funny how you go out on the inet in the morning looking for something and never quite know where you're going to land! :-)

What a great blog. I love to see someone who has simply adopted a healthy lifestyle and found that the weight just falls off. Isn't that cool? That's what I teach in High Energy Eating.
